With locations in historic Roanoke and cozy Blacksburg, Virginia, nestled deep in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountain range, East Coasters is centered near some of the finest road and mountain biking opportunities East of the Mississippi.
Since its inception in 1974, East Coasters has kept it's heart in the community. As a sponsor for many local teams, events, and races, East Coasters has cemented its reputation as a shop with respect for its customers, its hometown, and it's employees. Our sales floor is staffed by knowledgeable and experienced salespeople, dedicated to the satisfaction of every person that walks through the door, while a well-equipped maintenance and repair area with a full staff of certified mechanics is at your service to ensure your bike stays in tip-top condition for every ride.
As a shop that takes its fit and custom bike services seriously, East Coasters is constantly advancing their knowledge and updating their equipment. With four SICI-certified fit technicians, a DartFish motion capture system, and a SizeCycle and CompuTrainer in each location, East Coasters is well prepared to determine your ideal position and design your ideal bike.
While keeping it's finger on the pulse of developing fit technologies and high-end bikes and parts, East Coasters hasn't forsaken the urban commuter, fitness enthusiast, or the large number of student riders in the area. We carry all the necessary tools and gear for every level of rider. From helmets and heat-moldable custom shoes to lights and race wheels, East Coasters has it covered.

We at East Coasters love meeting new riders, and helping you get the most out of your passion for cycling. Scheduling an appointment for a custom fit is just the first step. While you're here, take advantage of some of our beautiful riding opportunities. With the Blue Ridge Parkway located quite near the Roanoke store, and with some of the best mountain and road riding on the East Coast literally out the back door of the Blacksburg store, we're confident you'll find your experience to be less an appointment than a cycling vacation. If mountain bikes are your thing, you may bring your own, or feel free to use one of our Titus, Gary Fisher, or Trek demo bikes and show up to our weekly group or ladies-only MTB rides.
Once you've picked up your ideal bicycle, and after we've completed the fitting process with you on it, we can suggest some fantastic routes to help you two to get well acquainted. If you're not into the hassle of following written directions, let us accompany you on the ride as a one-on-one guide. We can show you the Category One climb where Lance made his winning move in the '96 Tour du Pont, the course for the infamous Mountains of Misery Century ride, or the trails on which one of the longest-running grassroots MTB race has taken place for the past few decades. Whatever your pleasure, East Coasters caters to it, and takes pride in your satisfaction
